Droogs is the meaning of "close friend" in the 1962 dystopian book A Clockwork Orange. Droogs became the name of our Academy because we have based our gym around A Clockwork Orange where themes of freedom, fighting, human nature, art and good vs. evil are portrayed by four friends who call themselves droogs.
In the same thought, we are four friends and business partners who have come together to create a friendly and structured mixed martials arts environment for people of all ages, skill levels, genders and sizes. We have an extensive background in competing, coaching and customer service. Your goals are our goals.
Our promise is to be an un-biased and safe space for learning mixed martial arts, building community, achieving discipline and cultivating mental and physical toughness while learning that you can push well beyond your perceived limits. Martial arts are for everyone and we are here to prove that.
